Any contribution you can make to help us continue our work, would be so much appreciated!

We have been running a scheme since January this year, 2005, whereby we advertise in local papers, as well as by word of mouth, that we will help owners have their cats neutered. We ask owners to pay £25 towards their cat's neutering, but often  we pay the full amount, though our vets do give the charity a discount - and very grateful we are for this!

We also offer to take owners' litters of kittens, so we can find the best possible homes for them with genuine, caring cat loving individuals and families. We check up on these kittens when they are 6 months old, to make sure new owners have carried out the agreement they signed, to have the kitten neutered at 6 months.

As a matter of course now, we are blood testing male cats which have been handed in to us and who have been known to be strays. Unfortunately many of these cats are found by the blood test, to have leukaemia or feline aids, for which there is no cure. It is so important that we make sure that owners realise that un-neutered male cats can contract these illness through fighting , and an exchange on blood or saliva. It is , generally, un-neutered male cats who fight, and so are more prone to becoming ill with aids or leukaemia.

If you feel you can help us carry on this vital work, financial contributions would be gratefully received as it is very costly scheme, but so worthwhile.

If you wish to make a donation, please email Rhona or phone, or simply send a donation in the post.
We really desperately need people to come forward and offer one of our older cats 15 years or older, a loving home for the remainder of its life.

Many thanks for taking time to read this.
